Lovable costs $25 a month for Pro and $50 a month for Business, each with 100 monthly credits, and both plans scale by credit tier up to 10,000 credits a month at $2,250 (Pro) or $4,300 (Business). Paying yearly takes about two months off, so Pro with 100 credits is $250 a year, or $21 a month. There is a free plan with 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, and Enterprise is priced on volume. Every figure below was read from lovable.dev/pricing and Lovable's own documentation on September 29, 2026, from a United States connection.

The plan price is only half of the answer, because Lovable bills in credits and different work uses different amounts of them. So this guide gives you the tier table, what one credit is actually worth in dollars, what everyday prompts cost, and what a small business website on Lovable adds up to over three years. If you are pricing Lovable because you need a business website rather than an app, the comparison with an agent that writes and launches the whole site is near the end.

How much does Lovable cost?

Lovable has four plans. Free is $0 with daily build credits and lovable.app addresses only. Pro is $25 a month and is the plan most individuals and small teams need, because it adds custom domains, removes the Lovable badge and unlocks credit rollover and top-ups. Business is $50 a month and adds SSO, role based access, internal publishing, design templates, the Lovable API and data excluded from model training by default. Enterprise is a platform fee plus volume based credit pricing, sold through a demo.

Pro and Business are not single prices. Each is sold in credit tiers, and the tier you pick sets the monthly bill. These are the published tiers.

Monthly creditsPro, monthlyPro, billed yearlyBusiness, monthlyBusiness, billed yearly
100$25$250 ($21/mo)$50$500 ($42/mo)
200$50$500 ($42/mo)$100$1,000 ($84/mo)
400$100$1,000 ($84/mo)$200$2,000 ($167/mo)
800$200$2,000 ($167/mo)$400$4,000 ($334/mo)
1,200$294$2,940 ($245/mo)$588$5,880 ($490/mo)
2,000$480$4,800 ($400/mo)$960$9,600 ($800/mo)
5,000$1,125$11,250 ($938/mo)$2,250$22,500 ($1,875/mo)
10,000$2,250$22,500 ($1,875/mo)$4,300$43,000 ($3,584/mo)

Lovable also lists 3,000, 4,000 and 7,500 credit tiers ($705, $920 and $1,688 a month on Pro). Workspaces have unlimited members on every plan, and Lovable does not charge per seat: adding people changes how fast the shared credits run out, not the invoice.

How much is one Lovable credit worth?

On Pro, one credit costs $0.25 on every tier up to 800 credits, falling gradually to $0.225 at 5,000 credits and above. On Business it is $0.50 at the entry tiers, falling to $0.43 at 10,000. Top-up credits bought outside the subscription cost more: $15 per 50 credits on Pro ($0.30 each) and $30 per 50 on Business ($0.60 each), and they last 12 months from purchase.

Business credits cost twice as much per credit, and Lovable explains that the cost of hosting an app and running its AI features is the same in dollars on both plans. So on Business those two kinds of usage draw fewer credits, while building still uses credits by task complexity. In practice, you pay double on Business for the governance features, not for more building.

How many credits does a Lovable prompt use?

It depends on the mode and the job. In Plan mode a message costs 1 credit, plus any research Lovable runs while planning. In the default build mode the cost varies with task complexity, and Lovable publishes four examples on its pricing page, which translate into dollars like this at the Pro rate of $0.25 a credit.

Prompt, as Lovable lists itCreditsCost on ProCost on Business
"Make the button gray"0.50$0.13$0.25
"Remove the footer"0.90$0.23$0.45
"Add authentication with sign up and login"1.20$0.30$0.60
"Build me a landing page, use images"1.70$0.43$0.85

Those are small numbers, and for a single landing page Lovable is inexpensive. The bill grows through iteration rather than any single prompt. Long build messages check in with you every 20 credits by default, a setting you can raise to as much as 100,000, and a project that takes hundreds of rounds of back and forth will use hundreds of credits. Every paid plan also includes 5 daily build credits, a monthly grant of 20 Cloud credits for hosting and 4 credits for AI features in your app, and those grants are used before your general credits.

Is Lovable free?

Lovable has a free plan, and it is a trial rather than a business setup. It includes 5 build credits a day up to 30 a month, 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits a month, up to 5 lovable.app addresses, unlimited collaborators and community support. It does not include custom domains, and it keeps the Lovable badge on the site. A business that wants its own .com and no badge needs Pro at $25 a month or more.

Do Lovable credits roll over?

Yes, on paid plans, with limits. Unused monthly credits roll over while the subscription is active, but they still expire two months after they were issued on monthly billing, and one month after the annual period ends on yearly billing. Daily build credits expire at the end of each day. Credits are not refundable. If you cancel, you can use what is left until the end of the billing period, and downgrading to Free freezes any unexpired subscription credits until you subscribe again. Downgrading from one paid tier to a lower one keeps them until their original expiry.

Can I use a custom domain on Lovable?

Yes, on Pro, Business and Enterprise. Custom domains are not available on the free plan, which publishes to lovable.app addresses. Pro also removes the "Edit with Lovable" badge and adds unlimited lovable.app domains, so for a public facing business site Pro is the realistic floor.

How much does it cost to host a website on Lovable?

For small and new apps, hosting is usually covered by the monthly 20 credit Cloud grant, so it adds nothing on top of the plan. Lovable says apps that reach significant traffic or size start drawing on your credit balance for hosting, based on database instance size, uptime and traffic. There is no fixed hosting price, so a site that grows is also a site whose credit use grows. If the app you build puts an AI feature in front of customers, that usage draws from the 4 credit AI grant first and then from general credits, and it is also worth guarding that feature against prompt injection before real users start typing into it.

Lovable Pro vs Business, which one do you need?

Pro, unless you need the controls Business sells. Business adds SSO, a security center, role based access, internal publishing for staff only apps, personal projects inside a team workspace, design templates, the Lovable API, preview links with passwords and workspace data excluded from AI training by default. Those matter to a company rolling Lovable out across a department. For a founder or a small business, Pro has the same building ability at half the price per credit.

What does a small business website on Lovable cost over three years?

This is where the decision gets made, because a website is a three year purchase, not a one month one. The table uses only the published prices above for an ordinary eight page service business site, and excludes taxes and the domain, which every route needs.

RouteYear oneThree yearsWho plans and writes the pages
Lovable Pro, 100 credits, billed yearly$250$750You, prompt by prompt
Lovable Pro, 100 credits, monthly$300$900You, prompt by prompt
Lovable Pro monthly plus one $15 top-up a month$480$1,440You, prompt by prompt
Lovable Pro, 200 credits, billed yearly$500$1,500You, prompt by prompt
AgentSite Starter, billed yearly$588$1,764The agent plans, writes, builds and hosts
AgentSite Starter, month to month$1,188$3,564The agent

On dollars alone, Lovable is the cheaper tool, and that is the honest answer. If you are technical, enjoy iterating, and want a codebase you can take anywhere (Lovable says you own the code, and Pro includes code download and GitHub sync), Lovable Pro at $21 to $25 a month is very good value. It is also the right choice for anything that is really an app: logins, dashboards, a database, internal tools.

Is Lovable worth it for a business website?

It depends on who does the work. Lovable builds what you describe, one prompt at a time. For a marketing website that means you are the one deciding which pages exist, what each service page says, how the service area is covered, and which title and description each page carries, and then checking the result renders well for search engines. That is fine if you enjoy it. It is where a lot of owner built sites stall, because the tool was cheap and the evenings ran out.

AgentSite is built for the other buyer. You describe the business once, in plain language, and the agent plans the pages, writes every word, sets titles, meta descriptions and a sitemap, and publishes on your own domain with hosting and SSL included. Changes happen by chatting with the agent, 150 a month on Starter, with no credit meter. It is $49 a month billed yearly or $99 month to month, which is more than Lovable Pro, and what the difference buys is not writing and planning the site yourself. The Lovable alternative page covers the two products side by side, and if you want someone to take the whole job off your hands, the done for you website comparison prices every route that does.

The short version

Lovable Pro is $25 a month or $21 billed yearly for 100 credits, Business is $50 or $42, and both scale by credit tier to $2,250 and $4,300 a month at 10,000 credits. A credit is worth $0.25 on Pro and $0.50 on Business, top-ups cost $0.30 and $0.60, and a typical small prompt uses half a credit to two credits. Custom domains need Pro. Over three years a small site on Lovable costs about $750 to $1,500 in subscription, and all of the planning and writing is yours. If you would rather pay for the finished site than for the tool, the website builder cost comparison puts the other options on one page.
