v0 costs $0 on Free, $30 per user per month on Plus and $100 per user per month on Business, with Enterprise priced by quote. Plus and Business each include $30 of usage credits per user every month and $2 of extra credits each day you log in. Everything you do in v0 is then metered in tokens against those credits, at rates from $0.20 to $10 per million input tokens depending on the model. Every figure in this guide was read from v0.app/pricing as served to a US visitor on October 7, 2026.
The seat price is the easy part. What decides your real v0 bill is how many tokens your work burns, and v0 counts the whole conversation, your files and its own platform knowledge as input on every message, not just the sentence you typed. Below: every plan, what the credits buy per model, a worked example of how fast $30 goes, the rules on rollover and refunds, what Vercel hosting adds, and how v0 compares with the other AI builders if what you actually need is a business website.
How much does v0 cost per month?
v0 sells four plans. The two paid self-serve plans are priced per user, so a team of three on Plus pays $90 a month before any extra credits.
| Plan | Price | Included credits | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $5 one time, for new users | Deploy to Vercel, Design Mode, GitHub sync, 7 messages a day |
| Plus | $30 per user per month | $30 per user per month, plus $2 a day on login | All models, buy extra credits, shared team billing, shared chats |
| Business | $100 per user per month | $30 per user per month, plus $2 a day on login | Everything in Plus, with training on your data turned off by default |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | By contract | SAML SSO, role based access, priority performance, support SLAs, data never used for training |
Read the Business row carefully, because it is the one that surprises teams. Business costs $70 more per seat than Plus but includes the same $30 of monthly credits. What the extra money buys is the training opt-out by default, not more building. If your company has a policy against vendors training on its code, that is a real reason to pay it. If not, Plus gets you the same usage for less than a third of the price.
All v0 prices are shown in USD and exclude sales tax, which is added at checkout based on your billing address. v0 does not accept PayPal.
What do v0 credits actually buy?
v0 does not count messages on paid plans. It converts tokens into dollars of credit, and each model has its own rate. These are the published rates per one million tokens:
| Model | Input | Cache write | Cache read | Output |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| v0 Mini | $0.20 | $0.25 | $0.02 | $1.20 |
| v0 Pro | $2 | $2.50 | $0.20 | $10 |
| v0 Max | $5 | $6.25 | $0.50 | $25 |
| v0 Max Fast | $10 | $12.50 | $1 | $50 |
Two things follow from that table. First, model choice changes your bill by a factor of 50 between Mini and Max Fast, so the same month of work can cost $3 or $150 depending on which one you leave selected. Second, cached input is ten times cheaper than fresh input, which is why long sessions on the same project cost less per message than jumping between projects.
How fast do v0 credits run out?
v0's own FAQ answers the question most people ask after their first week: why do messages use so many input tokens when my prompts are short? Because v0 sends the chat history, your source files and Vercel-specific knowledge along with every request, and all of it counts as input.
Here is an illustration, with the token counts as our assumption rather than a v0 figure. Say one message on a mid-sized project carries 60,000 input tokens of context and returns 4,000 output tokens, with nothing cached.
- v0 Pro: 60,000 input tokens at $2 per million is $0.12, plus 4,000 output tokens at $10 per million is $0.04. About $0.16 a message, so the $30 monthly allowance covers roughly 187 messages.
- v0 Max: $0.30 of input plus $0.10 of output, about $0.40 a message, or roughly 75 messages for $30.
- v0 Max Fast: about $0.80 a message, or roughly 37 messages before you are buying more.
Your numbers will differ. A small landing page carries far less context and a large app far more, and caching pulls the cost down. The point is the shape: on v0 the cost of a request grows with the size of the project, so the bill climbs as the thing you are building gets bigger. The $2 daily login credit helps: if you log in and use it on 20 working days, that is up to about $40 a month per user on top of the $30, so a steady daily habit can be worth more than the included allowance itself.
Is v0 free?
v0 has a Free plan, but it is a trial in all but name for anything beyond experiments. New users get $5 of credits one time, not every month, and Free is capped at 7 messages a day. Free users cannot buy extra credits either: v0's FAQ says you must upgrade to a paid plan to purchase on-demand usage.
Students are the exception. v0 for Students gives one year of complimentary access to students who verify with an email from a qualifying school, and the list on October 7, 2026 named 15 universities, including Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, Arizona State and NYU. Outside that program v0 states it offers no discounts for students, veterans or nonprofits and no purchasing power parity pricing.
Do v0 credits roll over, and can you get a refund?
- Monthly credits on paid plans roll over for one month, then expire.
- Purchased credits expire after one year.
- When credits run out, v0 pauses generation until you add more. Included usage is spent first, then on-demand credits.
- Refunds: v0 states it is not offering refunds, because each model call has a real cost, and asks you to contact Vercel if something unusual happened.
- Cancelling is self-serve on Free, Plus and Business from the v0 billing page, under Plan Summary, Cancel Plan.
The no-refund policy is worth taking seriously before you buy a large credit pack. Buy small top-ups as you need them rather than a year of credits up front.
What happened to v0 Premium and Ultra?
The current pricing page lists only Free, Plus, Business and Enterprise. Premium, the older $20 a month individual plan, is no longer on it, although v0's FAQ still refers to Premium users buying credits, so existing subscribers appear to keep it. Ultra has been sunset outright: v0 says Ultra users moved to Premium, can buy on-demand credits and received an extra $200 credit. If you are reading an older article that quotes $20 Premium as the entry price, that is the plan that disappeared.
Is v0 included in a Vercel Pro plan?
No. v0 uses your Vercel account to log in, but it is billed separately from Vercel Hobby, Pro and Enterprise. v0's own example is a one-member Vercel Pro team at $20 plus a v0 plan at $20 for $40 a month in total. Apply the same logic to today's plans and a solo developer on Vercel Pro and v0 Plus pays $50 a month, before extra credits and before any Vercel usage beyond what Pro includes.
That second part matters for a live site. v0 deploys to Vercel, and Vercel's free Hobby tier is for personal, non-commercial projects, so a business putting a v0 site into production should budget for Vercel Pro as well. The v0 subscription pays for the building. Hosting is a second bill.
What does v0 cost over a year for a small team?
| Setup | Monthly | First year |
|---|---|---|
| 1 user on v0 Plus | $30 | $360 |
| 1 user on v0 Plus plus Vercel Pro | $50 | $600 |
| 3 users on v0 Plus | $90 | $1,080 |
| 3 users on v0 Business | $300 | $3,600 |
| 5 users on v0 Business | $500 | $6,000 |
Those are floors. They include only the credits bundled with each seat, and the worked example above shows how a busy month on a larger model can pass the $30 allowance well before the month ends. Teams that rely on v0 daily often end up adding on-demand credits, and those are shared across the team on Plus and Business, which is convenient for billing and easy to lose track of. If several people are drawing from one pool, it is worth tracking AI and SaaS spend across the team the same way you would a cloud bill, so the overage shows up before the invoice does.
v0 pricing compared with other AI builders
| Tool | Entry paid plan | How usage is billed | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| v0 | $30 per user per month | Tokens, converted to credits, rate depends on the model | Developers building React and Next.js interfaces and apps |
| Lovable | $25 a month on Pro | Credits per message | Founders building full stack apps from prompts |
| Replit | $20 a month on Core | Credits for Agent usage, hosting billed by usage | Coding with an AI agent in a cloud IDE |
| Base44 | $20 a month, $16 billed yearly | Message and integration credits | Internal tools and simple apps |
| AgentSite | $99 a month, or $49 a month billed yearly | Flat price with a fixed monthly edit allowance, hosting included | Businesses that need a finished, written website |
Our full breakdowns of Lovable pricing, Replit pricing and Base44 pricing cover each of those meters in detail. The pattern across the app builders is the same: a low entry price and a usage meter that grows with the project.
Is v0 worth it?
For a developer, often yes. v0 writes clean React and Tailwind, syncs to GitHub, deploys to Vercel in one step, and Design Mode lets you adjust what it produced visually instead of describing every change in a prompt. If you live in the Next.js ecosystem and want to move faster on interfaces, $30 a month is a modest price for that, and Plus is the plan to buy. Skip Business unless your company specifically needs the training opt-out.
For a business owner who wants a website, v0 is usually the wrong tool, and the pricing shows why. You pay for tokens while you build, you pay Vercel to host the result, every later change draws down credits again, and nobody writes your service pages for you: v0 generates the code, you supply the words. That is fine if you are building a product. It is an expensive way to get a five or ten page site for a plumbing company, a law office or a consultancy.
That second buyer is who AgentSite is built for. You describe the business, and an AI agent plans the pages, writes every one of them, sets titles, meta descriptions and a sitemap, and launches the site on your own domain with hosting and SSL included, for $49 a month billed yearly or $99 month to month. Edits happen by chat against a fixed monthly allowance, so a big change and a small one each count once and there is no token meter to watch. Our v0 alternative page compares the two side by side, and the website builder cost guide puts both in context against Wix, Squarespace and agencies.
v0 pricing FAQ
How much is v0 per month?
v0 Plus costs $30 per user per month and v0 Business costs $100 per user per month, each with $30 of included monthly credits per user and $2 of free credits on each daily login. The Free plan is $0 with $5 of one-time credits for new users and a 7 message a day limit. Enterprise is priced by quote.
Does v0 charge per message?
Not on paid plans. v0 meters input and output tokens and converts them to credits, at rates that depend on the model, from $0.20 per million input tokens on v0 Mini to $10 on v0 Max Fast. A message that carries a large project as context costs more than one on a small project, even if your prompt is the same length.
Can I buy more v0 credits?
Yes, on a paid plan. Plus and Business users can add on-demand credits at any time in billing settings, and those credits are shared across the team. Free users must upgrade first. Purchased credits expire after one year, and v0 does not offer refunds.
Is v0 cheaper than Lovable?
On the entry price, no. Lovable Pro starts at $25 a month and v0 Plus at $30 per user. The real cost of either depends on usage, because both meter the work you do, and v0's bill varies sharply with the model you pick. For a single user doing light work they land in a similar range.
Do I need Vercel Pro to use v0?
No, v0 is a separate subscription and works with a free Vercel account. You may want Vercel Pro once the project is live, because Vercel's free Hobby tier is meant for personal, non-commercial use. v0's own example adds a $20 Vercel Pro seat to a v0 plan as two separate charges.
Can I use v0 to build a website for my business?
You can, if you or a developer will write the copy, manage the code and pay for hosting. v0 generates the site; it does not plan your pages or write your content. If you want the site written and hosted for one flat price, an AI agent builder like AgentSite is the more direct route.
