Housecall Pro costs $59 a month for Basic with one user, $149 a month for Essentials with five users, and $299 a month for MAX with eight users, when billed annually. Paid month to month the list prices are $79, $189 and $329. Each user past the plan limit on MAX is $35 a month, there is no long term contract, and a 14 day trial gives full MAX access without a credit card. We read these numbers from the Housecall Pro pricing page on November 4, 2026, so check the page before you commit, because the discounts shift often.

Housecall Pro is field service software. It handles scheduling, dispatch, quotes, invoices and payments for plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, cleaners and other crews that work at customer sites. It is not a website builder in the sense a homeowner would use the word, so the real budget for a trade business is the software bill plus whatever puts new customers in front of you. This page covers the first part and the gap around the second.

How much does Housecall Pro cost per month?

There are three plans, and the price depends on whether you commit to a year. The page shows the lower figure first and the month to month figure struck through beside it.

PlanBilled annuallyMonth to monthUsers included
Basic$59 a month$79 a month1
Essentials$149 a month$189 a month5
MAX$299 a month$329 a month8

Basic covers the essentials for a solo operator. Essentials adds tools for a growing team, and MAX adds the heavier features such as a sales proposal tool and access to Zapier and the open API. Extra users on MAX are $35 a month each. The page also runs short introductory offers on first months, which change, so we leave them out of the totals below.

What does Housecall Pro cost over a year?

Annual billing is the cheaper route on every plan, and the gap grows with the plan. Multiplying the published monthly figures:

PlanPer year, billed annuallyPer year, month to month
Basic$708$948
Essentials$1,788$2,268
MAX$3,588$3,948

A crew of ten on MAX needs two extra users, which adds $70 a month, or $840 a year. Card processing is extra too. The page advertises rates as low as 2.59 percent, with the rate you actually get depending on your volume and the payment type.

Is there a free trial, and are there contracts?

Yes to the trial and no to the contract. The trial runs 14 days with every feature on the MAX plan and does not ask for a credit card. The page answers the contract question directly: Housecall Pro does not require long term contracts, and you can upgrade at any time or downgrade with the change taking effect at the end of your current billing period. The annual price is a discount for paying up front, not a lock in clause.

What does Housecall Pro not include?

The plans are about running jobs. Quotes, invoicing, online booking from Google or your website, payments, payroll and QuickBooks sync are all there. The pricing page does not list a marketing website for your company. The online booking tool needs a site or a Google listing to send people from, and that site is a separate job.

This matters for a plumber or an electrician, because the software only manages demand that already exists. A homeowner with a burst pipe searches the problem and the town. The company that has a page for drain repair in that town gets the call, and Housecall Pro then schedules and bills it. If you have no site, or only a one page template, you are paying $149 a month to organize work you are not winning.

Housecall Pro plus a website, what it adds up to

AgentSite builds that missing site. You describe the company and the agent writes a page for each service, a page for each town you cover and a quote request form, then publishes it on your own domain with hosting and SSL. Plans start flat at $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year). You change anything by chatting. Your Book now button can link straight to your Housecall Pro booking page, so scheduling and payments stay where they are.

The extra $588 a year is what a freelancer charges for a few hours. Our guide to building a contractor website lists the pages that actually bring in calls, and the contractor website builder page compares the options across trades. If your work is in one trade, start with the page for plumbing website design, electrician website design or HVAC website design. When you close the books, a tool that turns a statement into a bank statement to QuickBooks import file saves the retyping if your bank only gives you a PDF.

Is Housecall Pro worth it?

For a crew of three or more that dispatches several jobs a day, a single tool for quotes, invoices and card payments usually pays for itself in saved admin time. For a solo operator with a handful of jobs a week, Basic at $59 is a modest cost, but a spreadsheet and an invoice app may be enough until volume grows. Compare it with similar field service software before you sign, and keep the trial in mind, since you can test the full MAX feature set for 14 days without paying.
