Wix Studio costs $19 a month for Basic, $27 for Standard, $34 for Plus and $159 for Elite, with a custom-priced Enterprise tier above that. Every figure on this page was read from the Wix Studio plans page on September 8, 2026 from a United States connection, with the full comparison grid.
Two things are worth saying before the table, because both are wrong in most of what currently ranks for this search. First, those four numbers are not the Wix Premium prices. Wix Studio is a separate product with a separate price list, and articles that quote $17, $29, $39 and $159 for Wix Studio have copied the regular Wix plan grid by mistake. Second, and this comes from Wix's own footnote, the displayed prices are yearly subscriptions paid in full at the time of purchase. So the entry commitment is $228 charged today, not $19.
Wix Studio pricing plans in 2026
Wix Studio sells four published tiers plus Enterprise. The plans page shows yearly figures only; a monthly rate is not rendered anywhere in the served page.
| Plan | Displayed price | Charged up front | Site collaborators | CMS items | Can accept payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $19/mo | $228 | 3 | 1,500 | No |
| Standard | $27/mo | $324 | 5 | 4,000 | Yes |
| Plus (Wix's recommended) | $34/mo | $408 | 10 | 20,000 | Yes |
| Elite | $159/mo | $1,908 | 100 | 10,000,000 | Yes |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | Custom | Yes |
All four paid tiers include a free domain for the first year, a code-free CMS, SEO and marketing tools, a custom domain, enterprise-grade security, a global CDN, full DNS management and unlimited bandwidth. Wix states a 14 day money-back guarantee on Premium plans. Taxes are excluded from the displayed prices and are shown at the purchase page.
Basic cannot take a payment, and that is the first thing to check
Look at the last column of the table again. The $19 Basic plan does not include the ability to accept payments. Neither does the equivalent entry tier on regular Wix, which is the same structural trap dressed differently.
This matters more on an agency product than a consumer one, because the agency is the one who has to explain it. If a client's site needs to sell anything, take a deposit, run a booking that charges a card, or collect a recurring fee, the real entry price for that client is $27 and not $19. Quote $19, discover the requirement in week three, and the conversation you have to have is about a 42 percent increase on a number you already put in writing.
The collaborator limit is the real agency tax
Three collaborators on Basic. Five on Standard. Ten on Plus. A hundred on Elite.
Count the people who actually touch a client site at a working agency: a producer or account lead, a designer, a developer, and then the client themselves, who is the whole point of handing a site over. That is four, and it is four before anyone has done any work. Basic is therefore not really a $19 plan for an agency team, it is a plan that fits a solo freelancer plus one client contact and nobody else.
So the honest entry price of Wix Studio for a team is $27 a month per client site, or $324 a year per client site, and that is the number to build a retainer on. Whether you rebill that at cost or bundle it into a care plan is a margin decision, and it is the same decision every platform in this category forces. The wider arithmetic on what each builder actually charges, and what makes each bill grow afterwards, sits on our website builder cost comparison.

What the jump from $34 to $159 actually buys
This is the most useful row in the whole price list and almost nobody writes about it. Plus is $34. Elite is $159. That is $125 a month more, or $1,500 a year more per site, and it is a 4.7 times step for a single rung on the ladder.
Read the grid to see what the $125 buys, and the answer is almost entirely data platform headroom. CMS items go from 20,000 to ten million. Write requests go from 500 a minute to 3,500. Indexes go from four to fifteen. The query timeout doubles from five seconds to ten. On top of that you get 100 collaborators instead of ten, unlimited media storage, and dedicated data infrastructure.
Now ask what a brochure site for a dental practice, a law firm or a construction company does with any of that. It has maybe forty CMS items, writes to the database when somebody submits a contact form, and would not notice a five second timeout if you told it to. Elite is not a better version of Plus for that customer. It is a plan for a different customer entirely: a site with a genuine database behind it, a product catalog in the tens of thousands, or an application that writes constantly.
The practical advice for an agency is therefore blunt. Put brochure clients on Standard or Plus and stop there. Elite is worth its price only when a specific client is hitting a specific limit in that grid, and if you cannot name the limit, you are not hitting it. The one case where the jump is genuinely defensible is a site whose CMS is being fed from the client's other systems, an inventory feed or a booking backend, where the write ceiling on Plus really does bite. If that is the situation, the integration side is worth designing before the plan side, because connecting that CMS to the systems the client already runs is what determines the write volume in the first place.
Wix Studio and Wix Premium are not the same price list
Worth being explicit about, because it is the single most common error in what currently ranks for this term. Regular Wix Premium publishes Light at $17, Core at $29, Business at $39 and Business Elite at $159. Wix Studio publishes Basic at $19, Standard at $27, Plus at $34 and Elite at $159. The tier names are different, three of the four numbers are different, and the products are aimed at different buyers.
| Tier | Wix Premium | Wix Studio |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Light, $17 | Basic, $19 |
| Second | Core, $29 | Standard, $27 |
| Third | Business, $39 | Plus, $34 |
| Top published | Business Elite, $159 | Elite, $159 |
Both price lists are yearly-prepaid figures. The full Wix Premium breakdown, including the Pricing Plans fee ladder and the fact that Light cannot accept a payment either, is in our Wix pricing guide.
Is Wix Studio worth it for an agency?
For an agency that has standardized on Wix and builds a steady volume of client sites, yes, and the collaborative workspace and the responsive design tooling are genuinely good. The costs to plan for are that every client site is its own subscription, that the realistic starting tier for a team is $27 rather than $19, and that the first charge for each site is the full year up front.
Where it gets expensive is the part that is not on the price list at all. A platform subscription buys you an empty site. Somebody at your agency still has to decide which pages exist and write every sentence on them, and on published US agency rates that work is $100 to $300 per page billed on top. Ten client sites at nine pages each is a lot of writing that no plan tier covers, and it is the reason agency website projects run late far more often than they run over budget.
That is the specific gap an AI agent closes, and it is why this comparison exists on our site at all. You describe the client's business and positioning, the agent plans the page map, designs it, writes every page, sets the titles and meta descriptions and publishes on the client's domain. Then you hand the agent to the client so they change their own hours and prices by typing instead of filing a ticket with your team. How that works for delivery and handoff is set out on the website builder for agencies page, and the branding and reseller distinctions are covered on the white label website builder page.
Frequently asked questions about Wix Studio pricing
How much does Wix Studio cost per month?
Wix Studio publishes $19 for Basic, $27 for Standard, $34 for Plus and $159 for Elite, read on September 8, 2026. Those are yearly subscription rates paid in full at purchase, so the actual charges are $228, $324, $408 and $1,908. A true month to month rate is not shown anywhere in the served pricing page.
Is Wix Studio more expensive than Wix?
Slightly at the entry tier and slightly cheaper in the middle. Wix Studio Basic is $19 against Wix Light at $17, but Studio Standard is $27 against Wix Core at $29 and Studio Plus is $34 against Wix Business at $39. The top published tier is $159 on both. The meaningful difference is not price, it is that Studio adds the collaborative workspace, client handoff and responsive design tooling an agency needs.
Does Wix Studio charge per client site?
Yes. Each client website needs its own Wix Studio plan, so ten client sites on Standard is $270 a month rather than $27. This is the largest single cost line for an agency using the platform and it is worth modeling before you price a retainer, because it scales linearly with your client count and never gets cheaper per site.
Can you accept payments on Wix Studio Basic?
No. Accepting payments starts at Standard, which is $27 a month. If a client site needs to sell a product, take a deposit or charge for a booking, Basic will not do it, and the plan has to be upgraded before launch rather than after.
What is the difference between Wix Studio Plus and Elite?
$125 a month, and what it buys is mostly data platform capacity. Elite raises CMS items from 20,000 to ten million, write requests from 500 to 3,500 a minute, indexes from four to fifteen and the query timeout from five to ten seconds, and adds 100 collaborators, unlimited storage and dedicated infrastructure. For a standard multi-page brochure site none of that is reachable, so Plus is usually the correct ceiling.
Does Wix Studio have a free trial?
You can build in Wix Studio without paying and only need a plan to connect a domain and publish properly, and Wix states a 14 day money-back guarantee on its Premium plans. That guarantee is the practical trial: buy the plan, confirm the site does what the client needs, and you have two weeks to reverse it.
Is there a Wix Studio discount for agencies?
Wix runs a Partner Program with benefits including revenue share and priority support, and Enterprise pricing is negotiated rather than published. The four standard tiers on the plans page are the same rates for everyone, so the published grid is what to budget against unless you have a signed partner or enterprise arrangement.
How much should an agency charge a client for a Wix Studio site?
Price the platform separately from the work. The platform is $324 to $408 a year per site on the tiers most agencies actually use, which is a pass-through cost. The build is where the margin is, and US web design pricing is wide enough that the same eight pages sell for $3,000 or $12,000 depending on how the scope is framed. Our guide to how much to charge for a website works through the ranges and the care plan math.
