GlossGenius is $24, $48 or $148 a month billed yearly for beauty businesses and $148 or $248 for medspas. Every plan and payment rate read from the pricing page, the Payroll and Reception add-ons, what the booking website does and does not do, and three year totals.

GlossGenius costs $24, $48 or $148 a month billed yearly for beauty and wellness businesses (Standard, Gold and Platinum), or $28, $56 and $168 a month if you pay month to month. Medspas pay $148 a month billed yearly for Practice Essentials and $248 for Practice Advanced. Card processing is a separate 2.4% plus $0.15 for tap, dip or swipe, and paying annually saves 12 to 17 percent depending on the plan. We read every figure here from glossgenius.com/pricing on October 28, 2026, from a US connection.

For a one chair studio that is $288 a year on Standard. For a salon with a few stylists it is $576 a year on Gold, before processing fees. The booking website comes with every plan, so the useful question is not whether GlossGenius is cheap but whether that website is the one you want clients to find on Google. If it is not, our salon website builder writes a full site on your own domain for $588 a year and sends every Book button to your GlossGenius booking page.

GlossGenius plans and prices

GlossGenius sells two product lines. Beauty and wellness (salons, barbers, nails, lashes, massage, fitness) gets three tiers. Medspa and aesthetics gets two tiers with clinical tools such as charting and HIPAA forms. The tier is set mainly by team size and by which features you need, not by client count.

PlanBilled yearlyMonth to monthPer year, billed yearlyBuilt for
Standard$24/mo$28/mo$288Solo businesses just starting out
Gold$48/mo$56/mo$576Teams of up to 9 staff
Platinum$148/mo$168/mo$1,776Established teams of 10 or more
Practice Essentials (medspa)$148/mo$168/mo$1,776Aesthetics practices that need EMR basics
Practice Advanced (medspa)$248/mo$298/mo$2,976Unlimited providers and the full AI clinical suite

You can start without a credit card, and GlossGenius offers a free transfer of your appointments and client list from your old software. There is no setup fee on the page. The annual discount is real money on the small plans, about $48 a year on Standard and $96 on Gold, but you commit to twelve months to get it.

What does each GlossGenius plan include?

Every plan includes the custom booking website, unlimited client notifications, email and text marketing, inventory and retail management, packages and memberships, 24/7 login free online booking and the low processing rates. What you move up for is mostly operations.

Gold adds forms and waivers, Google booking and reviews, an automated waitlist, time tracking and room and resource management. Platinum adds team goal setting and analytics, customizable commissions and Google marketing analytics, which only matter once you have ten or more people on payroll. The practical rule: a solo stylist who never needs forms, waivers or a waitlist can live on Standard, while a salon with a front desk and rented rooms ends up on Gold.

How much does GlossGenius cost with payments and add-ons?

The subscription is only part of the bill, because GlossGenius is also your card processor. The rates printed on the page are the same on every plan:

ChargeRate
Tap, dip or swipe2.4% + $0.15
Online invoicing2.9% + $0.30
Card on file, online or key-in3.4% + $0.15
Instant payout, any time1.8% extra
Same business day payout, Monday to ThursdayFree
Payroll add-on$40/mo + $6 per seat
Reception add-on (calls and texts answered 24/7)$50/mo

Here is what that looks like on a real month. A solo stylist taking $6,000 in card payments at an $85 average ticket runs about 71 transactions. At 2.4% plus $0.15 that is $144 plus about $11, so roughly $155 in processing, on top of the $24 plan. Most of that processing cost would exist with any processor, so do not count it as a GlossGenius premium, but do compare it with the rate your current processor quotes before you move. Payments you key in from a saved card cost a full point more, which matters if you charge no-show fees and deposits on file.

The Reception add-on is the one that surprises people. For $50 a month an AI answers every call and text and books appointments into your calendar. If calls are the part of the business you are trying to fix, a dedicated AI receptionist that answers your business calls is worth pricing against it before you add the $600 a year.

Processing and add-ons are not in the table, since they depend on your sales. The last row is not a recommendation for everyone. It is the honest cost of keeping GlossGenius for booking and payments and paying for a separate website. Whether that second $588 is worth it depends on one thing: how many new clients find you through Google instead of Instagram or word of mouth.

Does GlossGenius include a website?

Yes. Every plan includes a custom booking website with a service catalog, team member profiles, a portfolio gallery and plug and play templates. It is built to take bookings, and it does that well. What a booking site is not built to do is rank for searches such as "balayage in Austin" or "lash extensions near me", because it is usually one page of services plus a booking flow, not a page per service and per neighborhood.

That gap is where a separate website earns its place. AgentSite writes a page for each service, a profile for each stylist and the local pages around them, then points every Book button at your GlossGenius page so the calendar, deposits and card-on-file rules stay exactly where they are. You keep the software you like and add the part Google can read.

Is GlossGenius worth it?

For a solo or small beauty business that wants booking, payments, reminders and a basic site in one login, Standard or Gold is a fair price, and the free data transfer lowers the cost of trying it. It is a weaker fit if you need a deep reporting suite, multiple locations on a budget, or your own website to bring in new clients, which is when people pair it with something else. GlossGenius pricing questions

How much does GlossGenius cost per month?

Standard is $24 a month billed yearly or $28 month to month. Gold is $48 or $56, and Platinum is $148 or $168. Medspa plans are $148 or $248 a month billed yearly. Card processing is charged separately, starting at 2.4% plus $0.15 per tap, dip or swipe.

Is GlossGenius free?

No. You can start without a credit card and try it, but the plans are paid. The page does not describe a permanent free plan, so budget for at least the $24 a month Standard tier plus card processing once you take payments.

Does GlossGenius charge per stylist?

Not per seat on the main plans. Tiers are set by team size instead, with Gold built for up to 9 staff and Platinum for 10 or more. The Payroll add-on is the exception at $40 a month plus $6 per seat.

Is GlossGenius cheaper than Square Appointments, Booksy or Vagaro?

At the solo level GlossGenius Standard at $24 a month billed yearly sits between Square's $0 plan and Booksy's $29.99 a month. As staff grow, Booksy adds $20 per extra person and Vagaro adds $10 per extra calendar, so GlossGenius Gold at a flat $48 often wins for teams of four to nine. We compare all of them with 3 year totals on our salon website builder page.

Can I cancel GlossGenius any time?

The pricing page lists month to month billing at the higher rate and yearly billing at the lower one. The page does not spell out cancellation terms, so check the renewal date and the terms in your account before you pay for a year.
