Showit costs $27 a month for the website builder alone, $34 a month with the Basic Starter Blog and $49 a month with the Advanced Blog, or $22, $27 and $39 a month if you pay for a year up front ($259, $326 and $470). Two higher traffic blog plans cost $79 and $149 a month ($63 and $119 billed yearly). There is no free plan, only a 14 day free trial with no card required. Every figure here was read from showit.com/pricing as served to a US visitor on October 6, 2026.
The plan grid looks simple, and it mostly is. What actually decides your Showit bill is whether you need a blog, how much traffic that blog gets, and how many WordPress plugins you want on it, because Showit runs its blog on a separate WordPress install and prices those three things as the tiers. Below the table this guide covers what each plan includes, the free trial, the annual discount, what a full first year costs, how it compares with Squarespace, and when a different kind of tool is the better spend.
How much is Showit per month?
Showit sells one website builder and attaches a progressively larger WordPress blog to it. Every plan includes the drag and drop Showit builder, hosting, an SSL certificate and 20 GB of media storage.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Blog included | Blog visits a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Showit | $27 | $259 a year ($22/mo) | None | Not applicable |
| Showit & Basic Starter Blog | $34 | $326 a year ($27/mo) | WordPress blog, pre-installed plugins only | Up to 10,000 |
| Showit & Advanced Blog | $49 | $470 a year ($39/mo) | WordPress blog, any plugins, unlimited users | Up to 25,000 |
| Advanced Blog 100K | $79 | $758 a year ($63/mo) | Advanced Blog, 30 GB blog storage | Up to 100,000 |
| Advanced Blog 200K | $149 | $1,430 a year ($119/mo) | Advanced Blog, 30 GB blog storage | Up to 200,000 |
The two high traffic plans are not on the normal order form. Showit tells you to subscribe to the Advanced Blog and then contact support to move up, and anything past 200,000 blog visits a month is a custom quote. Most photographers, coaches and small studios will never get near those numbers, so in practice you are choosing between $22, $27 and $39 a month on annual billing.
What each Showit plan includes
Showit ($27, or $22 yearly) is the builder with no blog. You get hosting with 20 GB of media storage, HTTPS, and design backups. It is the right plan if your site is a portfolio, a services page and a contact form, and you have no intention of publishing articles.
Showit & Basic Starter Blog ($34, or $27 yearly) adds a WordPress blog whose theme you design inside Showit. You get 20 GB of blog storage, one WordPress user, daily blog backups kept for 30 days, and a fixed set of pre-installed plugins that Showit supports. Additional plugins are not permitted on this plan, and the blog is capped at 10,000 visits a month. Showit positions it for people starting a new blog.
Showit & Advanced Blog ($49, or $39 yearly) lifts the plugin restriction, so you can install anything WordPress supports, including ecommerce plugins. It adds unlimited WordPress users, design backups every 10 minutes kept for 7 days, a 25,000 visit monthly cap, and a free blog migration from WordPress or Squarespace that includes posts, images and comments. FTP access is available on request. If you are moving an existing blog of any size, this is the plan Showit expects you to buy, since migrations are only offered from those two platforms. If the reason you want plugins is to list the cameras, presets and software you recommend, a creator storefront for the gear you recommend does that job without adding another plugin to keep updated.
The high traffic plans keep everything in the Advanced Blog and raise the blog to 100,000 or 200,000 visits a month with 30 GB of blog storage.
Does Showit have a free trial?
Yes. Showit offers a 14 day free trial with full access to the builder and no credit card required. Two things are switched off during the trial: you cannot connect a domain, and you cannot use the blog through the WordPress admin. So you can design every page, but you cannot publish the site under your own name or test the blog until you pay. You pick your plan when the trial ends.
There is no free plan after the trial. Showit says you can cancel or change plans at any time with no penalty by contacting its billing team through the chat widget.
Is it cheaper to pay Showit annually?
Yes, by 20 percent on every plan, and the arithmetic on the published prices checks out. The Showit plan is $324 over twelve monthly payments against $259 billed yearly. The Basic Starter Blog is $408 against $326. The Advanced Blog is $588 against $470. The high traffic plans follow the same pattern: $948 against $758 and $1,788 against $1,430.
The catch is the usual one with annual billing. You are committing a year before you know whether you will keep the platform, and Showit sites are designed by hand, so the switching cost after a year is real. If you are still deciding between builders, the 14 day trial plus one or two monthly payments is cheap insurance before you prepay.
What does a Showit website cost for the first year?
The subscription is only part of it. A Showit site also needs a domain, which you connect by pointing its DNS records at Showit, and most people start from a template. Showit's Design Market sells templates made by independent designers, each priced by the designer, and many owners hire a Showit designer to customize or build the site. Those costs vary too widely to quote fairly, so the table below shows the subscription alone, which is the one number Showit controls.
| Plan | Year one, billed monthly | Year one, billed yearly | Three years, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Showit | $324 | $259 | $777 |
| Showit & Basic Starter Blog | $408 | $326 | $978 |
| Showit & Advanced Blog | $588 | $470 | $1,410 |
| Advanced Blog 100K | $948 | $758 | $2,274 |
Add a domain renewal each year, and whatever you pay for a template or a designer. The three year column assumes Showit's current prices hold, which no vendor promises.
Showit vs Squarespace pricing
Squarespace is the platform most Showit buyers compare it with, and on price the two are closer than they look. Squarespace's four plans cost $19, $29, $49 and $99 a month billed yearly, or $25, $39, $65 and $139 month to month, read from squarespace.com in September 2026 (our Squarespace pricing breakdown has every plan). Squarespace includes a blog on its plans, so a site with a blog starts at $19 a month there against $27 a month for Showit with the Basic Starter Blog.
What you get for the difference is not the same thing. Showit gives you free placement of every element on the page, separately designed desktop and mobile layouts, and a real WordPress blog with the plugin ecosystem behind it. Squarespace gives you a structured section editor, commerce and scheduling in the same subscription, and a blog that is simpler but has no plugins to maintain. Designers, photographers and brand-led studios tend to pick Showit for the design freedom. Owners who want selling or booking in one place tend to pick Squarespace.
What happens when your blog outgrows the plan?
Showit's tiers are metered on blog visits, not on site visits, which is worth understanding before you start publishing. The Basic Starter Blog allows up to 10,000 blog visits a month and the Advanced Blog 25,000. A photographer whose wedding venue guides start ranking can pass 25,000 sooner than expected, at which point the move is to Advanced Blog 100K at $63 a month billed yearly, roughly a 60 percent jump over the $39 Advanced Blog. Successful content is the thing that pushes the bill up, so budget for it if blogging is the plan.
Is Showit worth the money?
For a creative business that wants a site that looks designed rather than templated, and is willing to do the design work or pay someone who does, yes. $22 to $39 a month is fair for what Showit gives you, the trial is generous, and there is no penalty for leaving.
Where Showit is the wrong purchase is when the hard part of your website is not the look but the words. Showit is a design tool. It hands you a beautiful empty canvas, and every headline, service description, about page and blog post is still yours to write. That is the part that stalls most small business sites, and it is why so many Showit sites launch with three pages and never grow. If that sounds familiar, an AI portfolio website builder that writes the pages is the more useful spend. AgentSite is an AI agent that plans the site, writes every page from a short description of your business, sets the SEO and publishes it with hosting included. Starter is $49 a month billed yearly or $99 month to month, which is more than Showit, and the difference buys the writing. Blog articles written by the agent come with Pro, and the website builder with a blog page explains what that includes and what it does not. Photographers can see how the agent structures a gallery and booking site on the photographer website page.
The honest summary: if you love designing and will write your own copy, Showit is good value and you should take the trial. If you want the site finished and written, pay for the writing instead.
Showit pricing FAQ
How much is Showit per month?
Showit is $27 a month for the builder alone, $34 with the Basic Starter Blog and $49 with the Advanced Blog when billed monthly. Billed yearly, the same plans work out to $22, $27 and $39 a month ($259, $326 and $470 a year). High traffic blog plans run $79 and $149 a month.
Does Showit have a free plan?
No. Showit has a 14 day free trial with no credit card required, and after that you must choose a paid plan. During the trial you cannot connect your domain or use the WordPress blog admin, so the site cannot go live under your own name until you subscribe.
Can I cancel Showit at any time?
Yes. Showit states you can cancel or change your plan at any time with zero penalties, by contacting the billing team through the chat widget or by email. If you prepaid a year, ask billing how the remainder is handled before you cancel.
Can I use my own domain with Showit?
Yes. You keep your domain wherever it is registered and point its DNS records at Showit's servers. Budget for the annual renewal with your registrar. Domain connection is not available during the free trial.
Is Showit cheaper than WordPress?
Usually not for the bill itself, since basic WordPress hosting can cost less than $27 a month. But a Showit blog plan includes managed WordPress hosting, backups and support, which you would otherwise arrange yourself, and the visual builder replaces a premium theme or page builder plugin. For a non-technical owner the total is often close.
Which Showit plan should I choose?
Choose the plain Showit plan if you will never blog. Choose the Basic Starter Blog for a new blog that the pre-installed plugins cover. Choose the Advanced Blog if you are migrating an existing WordPress or Squarespace blog, need extra plugins such as ecommerce, or expect more than 10,000 blog visits a month.
